Na região da foz do São Francisco, os camarões P. schmitti e P. subtilis, se reproduzem de maneira contínua, havendo, no entanto, dois pulsos principais de reprodução, respectivamente no inverno e verão. O recrutamento para a pesca na plataforma continental ocorre na primavera e outono seguintes. Os pulsos mais importantes seriam o de outono para o recrutamento e o de inverno para a reprodução. O trabalho estuda a influência da vazão do rio São Francisco e da pluviometria sobre a reprodução destas
espécies.

In the region of the mouth of the São Francisco river, the shrimps P. schmitti e P. subtilis have continuous reproduction presenting, however, two main pulses in winter and summer. The recruitment to the fisheries in the continental shelf occurs in the following srping and fall. The more important pulses occur during the fall (recruitment) and winter (reproduction). The role of the São Francisco flow and of the rain fall over the reproduction these species are studied.
