SEPLAN launches WEBGIS GEO Jalapão

The Secretary of Planning and Public Management Modernization (SEPLAN), in partnership with Project Ecological Corridor Jalapão, held on Friday (09/11) the inauguration ceremony of a Geographic Information System (GIS) based on Internet named GEO Jalapão. This WEBGIS system, based on free software and accessible to all Internet users, allows to consult a database of geospatial data related to various themes: environmental conservation, territorial boundaries, infrastructure, etc..

Through GEO Tocantins, the user can view and manipulate the information interactively, choosing layers (themes) and geographical areas of interest, or entering new geographic information using tools for measuring distance and area calculation.

The access to GEO Jalapão can be done through the address http://seplan.to.gov.br/corredorjalapao/ or via a link available on the Seplan webpage (www.seplan.to.gov.br).
