Project Structure

The Jalapão Region Ecological Corridor Project originates from the Bilateral Cooperation Term signing between the Governments of Brazil and Japan signed on November 20th, 2009. It is a three-year Project and its implementation is divided into three phases:

PHASE 01

- Structuring (April 2010 to April 2011) Kick-Off Seminar of the Project;
- Collection and systematization of information – Studies and diagnostic structuring of the target region;
- Identification of counterparts;
- Elaboration of geographic information sharing system - WebSIG;
- Elaboration of educational and informational materials;
- Elaboration of capacity training program;
- Implementation of training capacity course.

PHASE 02

- Operationalization (March 2011 to April 2012);
Structuring of Institutional Arrangements for Sustainable Management of the Ecological Corridor;
- Capacity training implementation;
- Website development;
- Implementation of geographic information system sharing - WebSIG;
- Developing educational and informational materials;
- Organization of the Ecological Corridor management strategy;
- Elaboration of the Ecological Corridor Atlas;
- Elaboration of Preliminary Strategic Plan and the Operational Guidelines for the implementation of the Ecological Corridor;
- Project actions evaluation midterm seminar.

PHASE 03

- Consolidation (March 2012 to April 2013);
- Capacity training implementation;
- Actions and monitoring implementation;
