Abstract |
In this study the effect of four inclusion levels of vegetable protein (gluten and soybean meal) were tested, in replacement of fish meal, and added 0.10% of exogenous protease. The inclusion levels were 0.0 (control), 10, 20 and 30%, following a complete randomized design with four treatments and four replicates per treatment. Weight gain, apparent feed conversion ratio and specific growth rate were analyzed through ANOVA (p<0.05) and when significant, means were tested with a Tukey (p<0.05) post-hoc. Animals fed with 10% vegetable protein inclusion showed similar perfomance results when compared to the control diet. Results indicated a significant influence on the growth perfomance of tucunare juveniles when vegetable protein sources were included in the feed. |
