Tabela 1, pag. 83, do trabalho "RELAÇÕES MORFOMÉTRICAS DE ALGUMAS ESPÉCIES DE PEIXES DA FAUNA ACOMPANHANTE CAPTURADA NAS PESCARIAS ARTESANAIS DO CAMARÃO EM REGIÃO ESTUARINA DO RIO TAPERAÇU (BRAGANÇA-PABRASIL)"

Resumo
O presente trabalho busca analisar a morfometria de algumas espécies ictíicas de ocorrência em região estuarina do rio Taperaçu (Bragança-Pará-Brasil). Foram estudadas as espécies abundantes capturadas com puçá de arrasto para camarão. As principais medidas morfométricas foram tomadas para determinação de correlações entre essas medidas e de equações de regressão referentes ao peso individual e comprimento total foram testados pelo coeficiente de Pearson r. Entre as espécies abundantes, Cathorops spixii, Stellifer naso, Stellifer rastrifer, Colomesus psittacus e Stellifer stellifer revelaram valores de coeficientes r aproximados de 1 para relação comprimento total (CT) x comprimento padrão (CP), mostrando que há uma correlação quase perfeita entre essas medidas. Os resultados indicaram que as relações morfométricas tiveram alta significância, havendo grande associação entre as medidas analisadas. Portanto os indivíduos das espécies analisadas, embora juvenis, mostraram tendência isométrica no crescimento. Porém, vale ressaltar que para muitas espécies essas relações evoluem com a idade dos espécimes, de modo que, o coeficiente de correlação entre as medidas também pode variar bastante ao longo do tempo.

Abstract
This research work was designed to estimate the morphometric relationships of some fish species which are abundant in the by-catch of the shrimp fishery with tow nets in the Taperaçu River’s estuarine zone (Pará State, Brazil). The main morphometric characters were taken for the determination of regression equations between linear body lengths and with the body weight, which were submitted to statistical evaluation by means of Pearson’s correlation coefficient. There was found to be high statistical correlation of the standard length/total length relationship for such abundant species as Cathorops spixii, Stellifer naso, Stellifer rastrifer, Colomesus psittacus and Stellifer stellifer. Their individuals displayed an allometric growth in spite of being juveniles, but it is worth mentioning that for many species those relationships change with age, so that their correlation coefficient may also vary as the species’ life cycle progresses.
